I don't think so. Finn wasn't just depressed about losing Flame Princess, although that was part of it. That combined with finding out his biological father was a douche spun him out into a general depression. He became disillusioned with his life entirely. It wasn't so much that he wanted to feel like he did with Flame Princess specifically, but more that he wanted to feel anything at all. >Teen drama teir garbage isn't necessary all the time to show a passage of time.
Sure, but relationship troubles are a common part of growing up and I don't see anything wrong with using it here. Not that the execution was perfect, but in concept it's fine. >Maybe it doesn't need to be a metaphor at all
Sure, but that's how it was presented.>Why can't we just have a simple cartoon about shit that started out with no story and now people assume it was always obligated to have one?
I get where you're coming from, and I totally understand why people are not happy with the direction of the show. Different strokes for different folks. >>101639647
It's magic, it doesn't need to make perfect sense. Grass sword becomes attached to Finn's arm. Some gets torn off, while some remains in Finn's arm. Healing gunk causes the grass sword to regenerate as a grassy, human shaped arm. It makes enough sense for me.
