In the introductory scene of the comic the guard barely grabs one of her hands and threatens the current Fire Lord's father. That isn't enough to hold her back. She needs to be tied up and gaged at least.
Azula has a pathological need for power and domination, she has been bred for commanding soldiers in war and being in control. So even if she was somehow overpowered and for some reason enjoyed it by the end, her not getting revenge doesn't work. If the artist made a guro follow-up of her torturing and killing the guards and prisoners it would somewhat redeem it.
