That's something that I cannot really grasp. He has been doing the filming thing and hanging out with other amateur film people for years and years. You would think even by accident he might pick up some skills, or at least learn from tired old repetition or trial and error until he got an idea how a studio is run and what tricks they use.
Or within a decade long period of filming he might try to look up ways to improve his quality some and make things look better and more professional. At least with the money coming in, he might understand that something looking nicer might draw in more money and improve everything at the same time.
But he never seemed to do any of these. Like he declared himself the filmmaking master with nothing else to learn in his first year and then kept on bumbling through everything else he has ever made and maybe had a lot of help from various others that worked under him improving what they can in their own time without direction.
