For those unaware because you're often not put into these situations.
My wife is a visual merchandiser at clothing stores, her job is to make outfits out of what the fuck they are given so it "appeals" to people.
H&M and forever 21 sell clothing that is mislabeled on purpose to not ostracize their fat clients.
One thing men will not notice is that there is now a junior section and "woman" section at every female outlet. The junior section large is what women are suppose to wear. The junior section medium is what asians who are obsessively skinny wear.
Now lets move to the "woman" section. Sizes are two sizes larger than they actually are.
If junior-large is the healthy range normal. Woman's small is the XL.
Woman's medium is a XXL.
Finally woman's large is a XXL.
This isn't accounting for the actual XL which is XXXL. So when women complain that they don't have things in their size they are actually complaining that a store doesn't have a XL*4 or higher. As most these stores only carry the fake "xl" size.
Men's sizes have changed somewhat also, but nowhere near as drastic.
For instance the relaxed fit or the elastic waist bands have made us a little more delusional. However you're always within about 1-2 inches of your actual size.
Women have gone full insanity and believe that a woman who wears "junior" clothing is the bad guy. When it reality the rest of the world is wearing that standard.
H&M is notoriously difficult for fat people to shop for, even the men's section i've had issues with because everything is usually made fitted. So if you have excessive muscle mass and just a little bit of fat. You probably can't fit into it.
Let alone taking the normal standard of men which is just a lot of fat.
Probably the funniest part, these clothing stores while somewhat expensive are actually cheaper in most cases as the clothing is better made.
