I’m in middle management in the Canadian civil service in benefits delivery.
I work 8-4, M-F and earn a reasonable salary for a pretty easy job.
I spend most of my day riding a desk or in meetings though.
I used to work in land management and development, which was better money but a lot more work and responsibility, and it made it hard for me to do a lot outside of work and staying in shape. If I had my time back I’d trade my finance degree for an engineering degree, but my personal finances are great at this point, so I’m considering establishing a tertiary income stream (already have a decent secondary income) and “retiring” from my wagie life.
If you really want to get fit and enjoy life establishing passive income is the way to go, but my job, as far as jobs go, is not a bad one, and not a hard one for anybody with half a brain to get.
