As well all know, consciousness is about half a second slower than the brain - studies have shown that decisions are made before you consciously think of your decision. It would not be incorrect to say that one's conscious mind is always slightly slower than the world around it. Using this phenomenon, we can cheat at anki, if you will. All it requires is speed, dedication, and practice. First, what you need to do is hit enter within 0.5 seconds of seeing a card. What will happen then is fascinating. Your mind will attempt to read the word and come up with a definition. At the same moment, anki will flip the card and show the answer, which your brain will see and interpret BEFORE your conscious mind completes its original thought. Before you're even concious of the the answer is, it will be inside your brain, and what should happen is, the answer you produce (after just about .5 seconds of hitting the card) will be the answer on the back of the card, however since it all happened so fast, you produced the correct answer without even consciously looking at the back of the card. It was all unconscious, so it doesn't count against you! Using this I have just about 100% retention. I hope you can all benefit from this. The only real problem is you don't end up memorizing the content but that's just a minor flaw.
