in islam as long as it's your animal you can do whatever you want, or it may not be like that, depending on how you interpret the hadith. many scholars wish to interpret a few sketchy hadiths so it is illegal because they feel primal revulsion, but it is highly unlikely those hadiths are authentic. There is a verse in the quran they try to derive some prohibition from>My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know
but it is never, ever stated. Hardly even implied. The quran merely says...>And those who guard their private parts. Except from their wives or *those their right hands possess*, for indeed, they are not to be blamed - But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors.
