eh, the people who are scared to touch their eye like that just need to try it, it's like riding a bike, super scary the first few tries and then mindlessly easy once you get it. all our lives we're told that our eyes are super delicate so we imagine them like an over-easy egg yolk, but really they're more like a grape. if they tried it and still hate it, fair enough. i personally always wear glasses because i get more consistent performance out of them, which i rely on to survive while driving. with astigmatism, contacts getting slightly misaligned due to dry eyes can make reading highway signs an unpleasant challenge. i got one pair of thin-rim circular gold glasses and they go with pretty much anything other than gothy silver jewelry which i don't wear often anyway.
