Yes, of course. But it isn't just some coincidence that she just happens to be talking to Charlie Brown here. It's very obviously meant to be poetic in multiple ways, part of that being Schulz's personal feelings at the time, and some of it very clearly reflecting on the dynamic of Peppermint Patty and Chuck, Schulz knew what he was doing, and I don't hold any real vendetta.
