Can chronic levels of stress lower your testosterone? I’ve grown up with an abusive alcoholic father, and it’s always been my plan to get the hell out. I landed a solid retail job with relatively good pay and benefits, and I was making leaps and strides and then... COVID. Slipped into some old and really bad habits. Not to mention, I stopped lifting altogether. Kept the job, though.
Recently I’ve been getting these two minute bursts of unbelievable abdominal pain alongside frequent morning migraines. I’ve always been stressed as fuck but I’m suspecting that it’s now physically manifesting.
The thing that tipped me off is just how much of a bitch I’ve been at work lately. Thinking of quitting, slacking off, can’t commit, all these qualities that I hate about myself and that I never had before COVID.
Is this stress lowering my testosterone too?
