How does something like this even come into existence? >you know, aiden, i really like that when i move my mouse X distance with my hand it then moves Y distance on the screen but sometimes i wish it just wasn't so >no problem tyler i will write a program that moves the mouse pointer a random extra distance based on various configurable factors that when configured change exactly nothing at best but are more likely to make things worse
I got my first mouse before most of you were probably even a tingle in your daddy's boxers. Ever since I installed Linux, I find myself missing on clicks. Actually missing. Accidentally minimizing windows that I mean to close. Clicking the wrong box on a form. Having to intently focus on which menu item I'm actually trying to select. I couldn't figure it out. Buy a new mouse. Nope. Well, that was a cheap piece of shit, I guess, I'll get a better one. Nope. I never had this problem on any other computer I've ever had in my whole entire life. (My first was a C64 in 1985.) Start looking around. Turns out, Linux has this wonderful 'feature' called mouse acceleration. If you move your mouse, great, the pointer moves with it. But if you move it the same distance a little faster, it moves the pointer a whole lot farther. Or, if you move the mouse a shorter distance, it registers as having moved faster for some reason, and moves the pointer 5x the distance instead of just 2x. There's shitloads of theories on what the perfect settings are, and someone, somewhere, expects people to sit and burn their life away trying to figure out how a fucking mouse moves. Or, it turns out, you can just disable it entirely.
What even the fuck? Who the fuck thinks this shit up? How does something like this even come into existence?
I have received offers from a FAGMAN company and a gaming studio as well, working on a pretty famous title.
I am not asking which offer I should take, but rather I have one question--
Which company has the "smartest" engineers-- Fagman, or game studio?
The reason I ask is solely because I want to learn the cutting edge of technology. The money and working culture are probably much better at FAGMAN, but I'm curious which company g thinks has actually smarter people.

I use Linux to get as far away as possible from FANG/FAAGMAN. I use all open source software and tools like Invidious, SearchX, Firefox with reg hacks, decentralize. I also use OpenSnitch to make sure none of my apps phone home and I test to make sure all local software is fully offline usable and not partially on "some guys cloud server" which I have no access to. I am happy to be a decentralized, privacy conscious Linux user that is as far as possible from Google, Fagbook, Adobe, and proprietary SaaS garbage. The only problem is, it appears that the vast majority of users on /g/ do not share the firey hated of FAGMAN that I do. In fact they seem to be making it their lives mission to be employed by FAGMAN, writing closed source botnet code for a living. How could this be? Why are my fellow /g/ brothern betraying righteous path.
Seriously, I hope those filthy jew coins FAGMAN gives yall are worth it. Because mark my words. In less then ten years all proprietary software will be SaaS/web only with zero offline usability or even ownership of closed source binaries. Streaming will replace downloading as disk will be significantly smaller and all devices will have baked in modems. I hope you are preparing for this doomsday scenario. I hope some of you repent and get back on the righteous path.
