Thought about this after reading revalations for the first when I was 8.
Scary thought, but honestly no different than a simple Roko's basilisk.
When our bodies die, we die. That simple. Not trying to say God isn't real or any of that pretentious crap. I'm just saying our consciousness is simply our perceptions and memories of what we can observe and imagine in this reality.
We cannot fathom anything but this reality and all the possibilities in it, so to say there's a "realm" our poorly understood consciousnesses would be teleported to or ascended to with the same perceivable spacetime and physical laws as we understand them would be a bit of let down. It'd have to be a reality where points, lines, and planes simply do not exist so there would be no waves, energy, matter, fundamental forces, or any universal building block as we can possibly imagine so there would be no spooks and ghoulies if any other observers in that reality that we can possibly imagine, not even collective consciousnesses, reincarnating consciousnesses, nor independent consciousnesses.
As I said, it's something we cannot ever imagine with all omniscience of this universe, so it's possibly simply imperceivable to us beyond our bodies just dying in this reality and our consciousnesses in another reality simply percieving our observational vessel's sensory, mobile, and synaptic termination as non-existence, just as we percieve, or don't percieve anything beyond the laws that govern our understanding of this reality.
