>>31753068>having something to love is more important
Ehhh, idk, mileage may vary, I guess?
Maybe I'm just a selfish lover
Or maybe this is tied to and comparable to the faith part of it>how does he know he loves her
Isn't this easy?
If your heart goes dokki dokki whenever you think of her and/or think of her whenever you see something that tugs at your heartstrings, then it means you love her does it not?
If you feel hurt when you see hurt and feel the want to be there for her and protect and reassure her and whatnot, then it means you love her does it not?
But does it mean you love her like you would love the mother of your kids after 15 years of a, relatively happy, marriage? No, and you couldn't anyway
Doesn't mean it's disingenuous either, because of what I said above, in the end you know and realize that this is all in your head
It really depends on what you call love, and if you can even quantify it in the first place, which is kinda silly desu
But you could feel like it's disingenuous if you simply use her 'by procuration' and is simply there in the place of the blank female you instinctively crave, and replace this blank female by whichever character you're infatuated with at the moment
I personally used to do it a lot in my younger years, and it ranged from girls I crushed on IRL to chinese cartoon characters and whatnot, but the whole disingenuous part never really bothered me because I couldn't really care less, they were just thoughts and fantasies
I mean, idk, we can't really discuss this kind of shit because it heavily depends on your psyche, there's not one way to love and not one that's better than the other, we all have different expectations and needs and waifuism is complicated
TLDR; waifuism is escapism and you shouldn't ever feel bad about it because it goes against the whole point
Which is kind of ironic of me to say, huh
