And as long as we're discussing our stories and the whimsical adventure of writing them, I recently realized that Twilight's arc in my own writing is hurtling straight towards an abortion metaphor that I absolutely do not want to touch! Same here. It's just impossible to keep everyone involved to the extent that they would be realistically, and I end up having to sideline a lot of characters throughout the scene. Usually I'll just try to break it down into multiple three-character conversations that just switch off each other.
