"Look, Pinkie, whatever you know about her, whatever you think about her, I just don't see it. I mean, if she was all that. well, evil, she has changed."
"Anon, ponies, err, griffons like that don't change! Once a meanie, always a meanie." Pinkie sharply stomped a hoof down upon the wooden platform.
"What about Luna?"
"That was different! And I doubt the elements could even turn a frown like Gilda's upside down!"
The shock had worn off of Anon, to be replaced instead with sadness. The realization had hit Anon like a package from a clumsy pegasus mailmare. They, his best friends in this whole new world, hated his fiancée. Anon thought to himself how that could be. All his time he spent with her, the letters, the late night conversations, they were amazing. It was as if Anon actually found a soulmate in this crazy place called Equestria.
"Pinkie...You know I trust you, right?" Pinkie's head bobbed slowly up and down, "So can you trust me? Let me tell you how we met, of everything that has happened. Because who you are describing does not sound like the griffon I love."
At the word of love, Pinkie renewed her sobs again. But deep within her heart, she knew she had to hear Anon out. In the back of her mind, though, she thought she could make Anon see the light. To see that Gilda was nothing but trouble. It was selfish, yes, but it was for the greater good. All she had to do was listen. She would build her case against her.
"How about I tell you how we met? Sound good?"
'No it didn't' Pinkie thought to herself, but she nodded anyway.
"Great!" For the first time since the ordeal started, Anon smiled. "Why don't we walk and talk back to my place, better than standing around here."
It was very apparent at that point that every pony was starring at the group. Some looking in interest, some trying to ignore the whole situation, and a couple in disgust.
