I don't know about you, but I'd rather not consume industrial anti-foaming silicone fluid in my chicken nuggets. A WHO paper references a South Korean study done on PMDS that demonstrated oral ingestion above a certain threshold can cause lesions in the eye, though the mechanism isn't known. Azo dyes cause all sorts of health problems, varying from dye to dye, with tartazine (yellow #5) apparently being among the worst, though the other dye numbers aren't great either
