>>32852907> I mean that their presence is necessarily generating bad episodes.
How? Both of those episodes were driven by the mane 6, not the students. If the mane 6 were written better, it would not have been the problem.
The students themselves had no real purpose in those episodes, they were essentially objects being used to give a plot for the mane 6 to juggle between each other.
If an episode is made where Rainbow and AJ are throwing around a football, and they are written badly, I'm not going to blame the football because it was an RD AJ episode with the football just being a way of giving them a reason to interact.
That's my point in posts like >>32852735
I don't see fault in the student six when they are used essentially as props for mane 6 episodes which end up being bad. I think those episodes are bad because of how AJ and RD are written. The only way I can see you blaming the student 6 is because they didn't push out the mane 6, make the episode about themselves, and have them be written better than the mane 6 but that is nonsensical.
Ultimately, my point is this. You acknowledge your self that you see the student six as bad because of episodes like NCC because they were essentially props in those episodes and those episodes weren't good. That's the reason I don't see them as bad though. Because the episode was a mane 6 episode, they were the main actors, and the writing of them wasn't good. I don't shift that blame over to the student six and my initial point in this thread was that I don't understand why it is their fault.
