Oho, wait a tick here. When did you set conditions and allowances? I sifted through your posts, yet couldn't find mention of these conditions beyond nebulous statements of 'real prose'. Do I detect a hint of goalpost shifting here?>... or even particularly good by greentext standards
Excuse me, but what are these standards you're referring to? Every one ever written? A limited subset of some description? Specifics are very important here.
Listen, it's painfully obvious by this point that your only two positions here are "I don't like greentext", and "I don't like second-person". "I don't like X". How /mlp/ is that, eh?
It won't matter what examples anyone provides, what arguments they offer. Your ignoring of my own arguments, and cherrypicking of examples, is testament to this. You've already made your mind up about it, you have an emotional connection to this position, and thus you will not alter your view on this subject, thus making this entire discussion in bad faith from the very beginning. Luckily, I love wrestling in the digital mud.
All you had to do was just come out and state that "I personally don't like these formats", and that would have been the end of this. But no, you had to be a shitbiscuit about it, and try to apply and justify your preference onto everyone, lauding it over our heads as if you were the judge, jury and executioner of what constitutes good fanfiction, with all the specious argumentation to accompany it.
As for your hangup of fiction needing to be "real prose", I only have one statement to proffer in response. "Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively".
