2025 unironically feels like the "RIP music goodbye" meme. Nobody cares about music at all, not even top40 slop or Tiktok sounds. Even just 10 years ago there was a lot of hype and energy around indie, p4kcore and stuff. Nobody cares about any of that anymore. Live music is obviously dead and buried. The biggest recent news in music is about politics, not art. Maybe I am just getting old and no longer in the 16-21 age group when people really care about music but it seems young people don't care for music much at all.
