Oh boy, here I go. It was a giant Apocalypse battle. 20k points per side. I was playing my StD (sorry for the shitty pic). One team was Order, the other Chaos, Death and Destruction. The objective was to take control of a big citadel in the middle of the board, but to do that, you had to lower the magic shield that it was protecting it. To lower it, each team had to bring a wizard to both of the gates that were on each size of the board and cast a spell there. I got to deploy on the right flank right next to a Khorne player and a Skaven player (pestilens only at the time). Our mission was to take control of the east gate and be ready to cast the spell at the correct moment. The Order team then deployed a a Sylvaneth and a Stormcast army who were supposed to take the west gate right before us, meaning we had to endure a 5v3 battle. We somehow managed to resist for 3 whole turns as our players from the west gate got into position, ready to assault the citadel. In the end, we couldn't resist any more and our flank was destroyed, but when that finally happened, the shield was lowered and there was a fresh Nurgle army garrisoning it and a fuckton of skeletons protecting it from the outside, so we managed to win the overall battle. It was fucking awesome and the only thing that would have made it even better would be to have it tied to a narrative. I'd love to play such a game again.
