Actually hmmm, lets really break this down. What kind of playstyle are they trying to reward.
You get cantrips. the half-casters originally don't so you're meant to use them, and unlike AT it's probably not mainly for utility.
you get spells, but very few known, and only really blasts and wards.
you have a feature rewarding you to TWF cantrips with weapons. since you're only making one attack, longbow or greatsword is decidedly the expectation, light will not help you. though there is a case to be made for Duelist +2 with a lance. Your bonded weapon is oddly not a focus, so shields are not expected unless warcaster.
you get Heightened spells if your weapon attack hit. meaning you really want those to hit, but not as much as the spell itself, since it will be outdamaging the stab. Also you want saves not spell attacks.
you can't completely neglect your stab stat though, because heavy armor needs +2 strength or you're slowed, and anything lower needs +2 dex. also you want that Heighten.
And you get a 30ft teleport on action surge. which for str means flash stepping to and OMAE WA MO SHINDERUing the enemy mage, and for dex free disengage. The other reason to want a Save cantrip is it's accuracy doesn't care if you're in melee or range.
So what is that... Acid Splash and Poison Spray in PHB?
Does Acid Splash, reliably hitting 1 and sometimes hitting a second creatures, plus a greatsword smack, out damage even just normal extra attack?
after PHB we have the SCAG cantrips, mind sliver for a very solid caster-support role, frostbite for a defender role, sword burst, toll the dead, and Create Bonfire which is fun with sentinel and or booming blade.
so okay, phb only, fighter only, pretty underwhelming, no idea the plan. Is there a multiclass that makes it busted, or makes something else busted? Something wizard most likely, since i don't think any other caster or martial cares, or if they did could stomach a split casting stat or 7 level dip?
