The general idea of the snake/nature argument is "it's okay because it's what happens in nature anyway", but there is nothing natural about some camwhore swallowing a mouse she bought at a Petsmart alive so people with a very specific fetish can give her money over Paypal. It is a very specific situation created and encouraged by people who can't simply claim they are magically not to blame by invoking nature.
Additionally, many snake owners kill the snake food beforehand, since they actually care about their pets and don't want them to get bitten by mice or endanger them in other ways. Fetishists, on the other hand, see both animals as nothing but tools for their own enjoyment and will generally create situations that are not only needlessly cruel to the prey but also to the predator,. Either by feeding living animals in the first place, feeding food that's too big (because they want a big bulge to fap to) or by creating certain situations that the predator would not create on its own, like jamming a mouse down a snake's throat the wrong way so they can take a picture of the mouse's head sticking out of the snake's maw while it's still alive, just like in their favourite fetish images.
These people like to claim they care about their pets, but they are just as prone to abuse them if it suits their fetish as any other animal.
