I know this situation all too well, anon.
The people around you see you take a step forward and they panic. They see a spark of determination in your being, so to avoid facing competition or the prospect of being outdone or left behind, they stamp at your glowing embers until only dust is left.
But that should be an even better motivator than empty words of encouragement. Cheer me on? What does that make me? A helpless stray in need of care and encouragement? Fuck that.
You should look at all the people trying to tear you apart and see what they see in their eyes when they're clawing at you. They see a threat. Why would anyone put effort into holding back someone they thought could never surpass them? The people around you are settled into the ground, unable to move yet so uncontent and unsatisfied with their current states of being, they find that the only thing they can do is keep people below them.
Instead of killing yourself, how about climbing through those fucking losers and shitting on them from above. If you're going to kill yourself you have nothing to lose anyway. Take some risks and change your environment for your own selfish gain.
Maybe if you succeed you'll find someone you want to stop being selfish for.
Best of luck, anon. Never give up.
