>>5589967honestly, the thing that made all this really weird is the 'grooming' aspect the entire discussion took on. On the whole I figure the Avery posting in the threads ought to be taken down a notch but ultimately it's the 'Avery is a groomer' shitposters who will bring down the entire thread. And really, I can only really see it as shitposting.
I've always been in favor of people taking Avery and doing their own thing with her. I remember how much fun the earlier Emmy threads were when we knew very little about her actual situation and there were so much creative stories about "what if you had an Emmy?" Giving Avery little to no backstory is a way to open her up to that level of creativity, if people want to. The only thing I ever suggested people keep in mind when writing for her was to remember she's a feel-good character for feel-good stories. No misery porn.
I'm not upset at people trying to figure out a story themselves for Avery, in fact I support it. I'm no writer, so don't expect much writing to come from me, especially because I never created Avery with the intent of telling a story. Avery exists because I thought combining a tomboy and a robot would be cute, and I just like her enough that I keep drawing her.
It's no skin off my rosy nose but goddamn, I derive no satisfaction from things turning out like last thread, though I find it amusing nonetheless.
>>5589723Eh, I know there's no way in hell I can change anyone's mind as to how I actually feel about everything but I should tell you that me drawing Noelle in Hotpants came from a behind the scenes interaction between me and Blank. Either way, you ain't rid of me yet.
