>>7231957Actiony Mecha games. Depending on your entry you're either super fast all the time, or only super fast some of the time. Don't expect a BattleTech style experience. You can build your mech, your weapons, paint it up, and go up against other mechs just as tooled out as yours is. The customization has always been top tier, and it looks like they're setting it mostly on AC2 and AC4. 2 had, probably hands down the best overall experience for gameplay, while 4 and 4A's had some great QoL improvements and the most interactive story. But it seems like they're also bringing in bits from V and others, like with the scanning portion, which I always thought was really damn cool.
AC6 is seemingly set in a completely different timeline from the other games (AC1 and 2 are the main games in their timeline, AC3 is it's own timeline, and AC4, 4A and V are their timeline, there's also a bunch of other) So there's not much story wise you'd need to even know before hand. I would say at most the only significant thing you'd need to know is that Ravens were the Timeline1 names for AC pilots, and in other timelines is typically the callsign of someone (usually you, the player) who has affected signifigant change in the world.
