Overall men take more risk. Be it in civilian protection (firefighters, police, etc) jobs with highers risks of death/injury (mining, offshore drilling, fishing, etc).
We also know that women work less hours in general, they prefer vacation, being with family and socializing more than men, which do more overtime.
Men like "things", netting them higher paying jobs like advanced research, technology, STEM fields in general.
Women like people, netting them lower paying jobs in teaching, nurturing, social work, human relashions office jobs, etc, all the way down to zero pay with family raising.
Both sexes are the happiest they can possibly be in general. Anything your fucked up brain wants to do would winder everyone's enjoyment. You can't force people to not be themselves, sorry.
