Your entire post also applies to men, highschool dropouts who were forced into the construction industry for example, with long harduous hours and possible workplace death.
I'm not saying life is fair for anyone, I'm saying that things as they are now in most of the 1st world are the best they can be in the present.
The only other option is to force people into jobs, which simply doesn't work. We already have plenty of sexist and racist practices, like genre/race quotas into universities and workplaces.
Also as the other Anon who already replied to you said, a lot of scandinavian countries that adopted more equity(AKA tyrannical)-driven ideals show an even larger discrepancy to the opposite of what you would expect, even FEWER women in STEM compared to USA/rest of EU.
