I've been on /a/ since 2008 and it wasn't just /b/ that was edgy and unempathetic at that time. Even if hypothetically these people only ever browsed /a/ they still would have had to have dealt with similar edgy posts for a decade if they weren't fucking new.
Gore spam used to be common and supported by mods for a time, and I remember shit like an anon bragging about molesting his niece on here and getting congratulated by everyone else in the thread.
There are times I feel like I'm the only fucking person still on this site who posted on it back in '08 and '09.
Not saying I don't feel bad for the KyoAni employees or that I support the piece of shit rapist anon, I'm just saying these faggots are obviously new and looking for sympathy on the wrong fucking website.
