It's underestimated by everyone the amount of mental fatigue that is generated when you rely on creativity to pay your bills, as more often than not, you can't channel it, despite customers expecting it.
It's also the only job I can think of where you can put hours of work in and have nothing to show for it at the end of the day if you didn't have a good one.
It's an incredibly stressful and unrewarding job, in which you are never satisfied, always expected to keep up pace, and for the hours you put in, are vastly underpaid.
So my guess is elevated cortisol.
