>>222660226>I think we can all agree that Berserk has been heading in the wrong direction for a while nowI re-read entirety of manga like 2 weeks ago
Likely was reading on that day Miura died, shit, and nope. People complaining about how it's "too light hearted" refuse to see a big picture where everywhere is still fucked, world is turned into one large massacre, Griffith is so invincible the only way he loses is by doing something stupid himself, etc. Even outcome of restoring Casca's sanity was anything but light-hearted and it's a great shame that we won't see what kind of mindfuck would she experience upon putting her entire memory together and properly realizing how Band of the Hawk ended - even if Miura left extensive drafts and they turn out to be capable to continue manga, no way they will be able to express nuanced moments like this as good as man himself.
I don't care about meme comic relief moments, it's not like there weren't any earlier.
My only issue with later Berserk is boat and sea god arc - not that it's particularly bad, but if he felt like working slowly, why slow yourself down further by adding something of no importance to main story and dragging it for so long?
