>>263885780The sane people have all left.
The 2016 American election drove a lot of the most cancerous people in the world here, the people that were originally exiled by moot during Gamergate, who were exiled to 8ch. And now moot is gone, and they came back, and they found a place that was functional so they stayed. And it's funny, because a lot of those people probably hate immigrants for doing the exact thing they did to this place, they supplanted the native population and made it a shithole. Even when moot was around there was a problem with Australians being shit and without moderation/ownership that cares, the site becomes completely useless when Australia gets off work/school and this Australian problem is exacerbated by their own 2016 shitters, it's like double shit.
Another problem is that every subsequent generation of young people getting on the Internet think it's okay to be shit to other people on the Internet, and 4chan that it's okay to be shit to everything. And so people come here thinking they'll fit in by being hostile to everything, or "ironically shitposting". And well, turns out that's not a sane thing to do, and the sane natives understood that you don't shit where you eat and the newcomers just don't understand that and treat any warnings as a reason to shit harder.
4chan used to be about love. That might be strange to hear but it's true. It was a bunch of people who loved a hobby and whatever else they may believe that shared desire for excellence brought people together; even angry negativity came from a place of love of wanting things to be better - these were the sane people. The people on the Internet and here today are full of hate, they just want to shit on any and everything. They don't love anything, other than to make other people miserable.
