Apparently Akira worked on the Super Hero script as soon as he finished the Broly script. Which was when Super was still on TV. Of course the Super Hero movie came out years after the script was already finalized. And it looks like Akira wasn't working with Toei on the movie but it was Sasuke that was in contact and working with them on the movie.
Which does make me wonder, neither Shueisha nor Capsule Corps Tokyo own the rights for the Dragon Ball IP, universe and characters. They just own the rights for the manga, anime, video games and merchandise. It was always Toriyama's Bird Studio that owned Dragon Ball. So who owns Dragon Ball now? Sasuke?
