No matter how many anime I watch, old classics or modern releases, I can never reach the same type of enjoyement, immersion and happiness that I did when I watched these three shows as a 14 year old. And I just don't understand why.
Why's anime so full of Japanese exceptionalism? Everything related to Japan is always depicted as the best shit in the world and whenever someone from the outside is exposed to something Japanese they're always shown to be thoroughly impressed, be it food or whatever else. It also feels like many authors are pretty ignorant of the rest of the world, with settings that are outside of Japan featuring people either engaging in inappropriately Japanese customs and behaviours or being depicted through some very strange stereotypes that have little resemblance to the real thing.
In the center of Rakua, Pagogo releases the barrier it set up a 100 years ago... but then the Explorers suddenly appear, having been lying in wait for the barrier to get released so they can obtain the Rakulium...! The decisive battle in Rakua over the Rakulium now begins: Friede VS Spinel, Liko VS Onyx, Roy VS Sango and Dot VS Agate!!
It's brat time again!

I still don't give a fuck about the Glind, why did we get so much info about them? Hell, the series is ending in a few hours. Unless there's a sequel, Arinsu and Degesu did literally nothing, so all that Glind and Kaioshin shit really didn't amount to anything, we didn't get any dramatic siblings fight out of this.
Likewise the Namekian lore is just the tiniest flavor, as Daima is ending and neither Neva, Dende or Piccolo ever did anything of note. This series is massively ruined by ending too soon in fact. I'd be excited if this was episode 20 out of 60, because Goku finally got SSJ4, they're back to being adults, and maybe those plot threads can lead somewhere that isn't randomly fighting Gomah, some villain they have zero connection to. Degesu in prison trying to fix his relationship with Kaioshin kinda like MCU Loki and Thor would be kino, Arinsu escaping and making the ultimate Majin, Panzy and Glorio actually forming a bond with Goku and doing something, King Abura returning or something, Neva seemingly going to Earth with them only to eventually reveal he's evil and be one of the final bosses, etc..
We saw the absolute worst of Daima, and the best is still there waiting to be written.. But this is where it's ending for now. It was all setup. I feel owed a sequel to Daima just because it made us suffer so much with no payoff, but the pieces are there for something good.
