>>272020872From what I remember, the Boruto manga has no slice of life parts. The manga was monthly so after recapping the movie it moved at breakneck speed to advance the plot. That combined with most new characters being clones of the old ones made the series feel incredibly soulless and fanfictiony.
Meanwhile the anime had the opposite problem where it started with a promising flash forward only to be followed by years worth of filler so early in, killing a lot of engagement.
It’s a case of something existing for the sole purpose of milking an IP. I’m just surprised that no one even complains about it given how popular Naruto was. It’s so lackluster that most people forgot anything happened after the war arc. It’s a shame really, there was potential.
