So a new statement by the Kokoro Connect production team was posted in their website.
http://kokoro-connect.com/news/
A brief summary is here:
>>71115845
They are "sorry for ICHIKA MISUNDERSTANDING AND TAKING THEIR ACTIONS AS ILL INTENT"
They had intended to give him a real voice role. yeah right.
Everything else is about the same, the same arrogant attitude- basically everyone is stupid and misunderstood and KC is being victimized. And for whatever reason they added a short timeline of events and left out pretty much everything shitty they did to him. i.e. car tazing, forcing him to eat rice bread crap, mocking him live, blah blah.
This apology is hardly any better than the last. The only primary difference is that this time they directly mentioned Ichika apologetically but like they did before, said sorry for misunderstanding us
>>71116068
They also basically say that the threat for lawsuits was directed primarily at those who directly slandered and harmed members of their staff, and that this take on it was MISUNDERSTOOD as them threatening to sue anyone and everyone who thought KC was in the wrong.
In other words, they are trying to weasel out of their previous threat to start tossing out law suits at anyone that defaced the KC logo by saying it was misunderstood as a blanket threat for all who were upset at KC. Rather, they are now claiming it's only for the few who "edited" and "altered" original content to make them look like bastards.
And the worst part?
>>71116994
many [2channers] are saying "They finally apologized, we did it! I guess it's over!" since it did sound more like an apology, but other people are saying they didn't buy the whole story and that there many things missing like Yamanaka's apology, explain why they took so much time, why didn't they mention it before, apology to Ichiki, etc. so it's divided.

Sup /a/.
I haven't watched much anime since, say, last fall. I haven't been keeping up with what's been good, and what's been shit.
If I were to watch a few shows from over the last year, what do I absolutely have to see? Thanks for the recommendations.

Sup /a/, I just finished watching Macross Frontier.
Great finale overall, but the last five minutes were absolutely fucking awful. I hope the next Macross series doesn't have a love triangle, they inevitably just mean that the poor execution of tired cliches borrowed from Archie comics instead of an actual developing romance.
Hell, Micheal and Klan had a better relationship than Alto did with either girl.
