For the latecomers to the Kokoro Connect fiasco, here's a rough timeline:
>[before Kokoro Connect aired] Yamanaka and a bunch of PR guys decide to trick Ichiki. They contact his agency and make Ichiki think he's really auditioning for a role. They even bring in fake VAs to audition along with him, make a fake anime-only character design, and everything. They secretly tape it.
>[June 24] Kokoro Connect live stage+internet streamed event where they bring Ichiki on stage to "announce his anime-only character". It turns out to be an elaborate prank and they're actually making him be a PR monkey that has to do ridiculous tasks to get paid. They force Ichiki to stay on stage and laugh at him as he's forced to play along.
> [July 8] Ichiki appears with Kanemoto in a promotion program. She makes brings up the event and zaps Ichiki ("punishment game") when he gets mad and tries to talk about it.
> [July 17] Ichiki appears on Sugita's radio show and someone asks Sugita to clarify if what happened at the event was staged. Ichiki reveals it wasn't and Sugita is pissed.
> [July 20] Terashima Takua's radio show where he says how funny it was to see someone's dreams crushed.
> [July 21] Imai Asami's radio show "Singer Song Radio" has Ichiki as a guest and the incident is also mentioned
> [Aug 23] Eufonius' Kikuchi tweets about a hilarious prank by the Kokoro Connect people, and says how easy it was to manipulate "someone"
> [Aug 28] Japan's internet (mostly 2chan) figures out what happened and starts spreading the word. They also find out it's not the first time Yamanaka bullied Ichika.
