>>70644905>Mesopotamian anime when?I'm still waiting for one honestly. Hopefully we'll get one before we enter the after life.
>>70644933Yes, every board. You'd be surprised at the amount of hate other boards have. Not just from cross /a/nons
>>70642664Also OP, there is really nothing to work with Islam honestly. Granted, you can throw in a sub theme from it into some anime, assuming the anime also has other themes to work with. You also have to take account of each middle eastern country's interpretation of islam. Many countries don't take other country's practices with open arms at all; and shit always hits the fan when people discuss religion. As each one practices and belief/philosophy different from one another to the point where the religion itself is distorted and broken apart by various countries. All claiming to practice it "the right way."
I'm not saying the religion doesn't have content/subsistence. But it pretty much boils down Islam being a mix of Christianity and Judaism (in practice) if you want to go with the most modern/neutral stance of particular a particular country(-ies).
tl;dr: The concept of Islam in belief and practice to be used as a theme is troubling. One, because its radically different from country to country and there is a distortion of what it is in the media. Second, one shouldn't use it as the only theme undertone for any anime. If anything, it should use several themes (religion or not); one of which could incorporate a point/idea/ from the religion
There is no "true" religion. There is a universal truth in everything, religions or not. This is coming from a guy who's greater ancestors were jews, recent grandfathers Christians which in turn became muslim in a Modern, Moderate & Culturally enriched family raised to put both learning, morals, and God on a equal pedestal.Just my two cents, both 4chan is too retarded to take anything with good insight.
