I don't understand it. FSN is such an obviously teen-pandering piece of chuunishit that it hurts. How can anyone other than retarded teenagers like this shit? Let's go through everything people say that is good about FSN, shall we?
1. Themes: The theme in FSN is infantile to say the least. Being a superhero is supposedly impossible, but Shirou did just that. Everyone is saved, except the unambiguously bad guys. Even Saber who is supposed to have died, simply became a familiar of Rin. Shirou never once has to face a single moral dilemma in the entire Fate and UBW routes. I thought the Holy Grail was supposed to be neutral, but apparently it's an artifact of pure evil containing all the curses of the world. This removes all moral ambiguity of using the Holy Grail, as the Holy Grail is inherently evil therefore anyone who uses it is also evil. In fact there is no moral ambiguity anywhere in this game, the whole thing is just Shirou playing out the fantasies of a 12 year old who wants to be a superhero. Archer challenging your retarded beliefs? Just kill him. In HF, Shirou has to choose between saving the world, and a wormslut from high school. Shirou betrays everyone and chooses the wormslut. It's not a matter of being pragmatic, because there is no utility in keeping the wormslut around. The only way the decision can be described is pure selfish and evil.
