Spectacular episode by the way. Rider vs Gilgamesh was a bit underwhelming but Saber vs Berserker was excellent.

This worries me as well. It's going to be so damn rushed. The sound drama for the remaining stuff is nearly two hours, and they're going to adapt that into 50 minutes?

If you're saying that Rebuild is the same as the Slice of Life scene, then ok. Shinji didn't have the ability to create outside of that, though.

Asuka didn't have an obsessive love for Evas. She had an obsessive love with her position as pilot. Her connection with Kaji was in part due to Kaji being a father figure to her, and she wanted to fuck him to prove that she was independent. Mari is very different from Asuka on those points.

And we do not know if the mother's soul is required to pilot in Rebuild or not. Mari piloting Eva 02 does not mean that Mari is Kyouko's daughter.
