I luked here since 2004, it's time to say goodbye. This place has become a weird mix of /c/,/e/ and /jp/, even if those boards were created to keep the waifu and moeshit out of /a/. The few quality posts arent worth lurking here anymore.
Posting this from a thread where a wannabe oldfag caimed how he hated how moeshit changed anime and /a/ in general, so yeah, i just want to put my thoughts out, let the mood delete this, report it, i'm just an attentinwhore that wants someone to read my wall of text.
Yes, /a/ changed, but it changed for the better. There are no retarded shonenkiddies complainging about moe ruining the industry. Rec threads are being hated, self-consciousness about the comments advances the quality of the place.
But most of all, /a/ is, was and will be a fighting ground: Want X to be restpected? Fight for it, defend it, want your favourite anime to not be shitposted to hell and back? argue with the shitposters to hell and back even if it costs your life. Want this to stay on /a/? Fight for it, scream to everyone that this IS /a/ related. This isn't fucking /v/ or reddit, autism is our blood and arguing is our body, nothing is taken for granted, no petty mod will ever defend you, if you want for something to receive the repspect it deserves fight for it, don't stay there dwindling your thumbs. Waifufaggots, lolis, anti-normalfaggotry are accepted because someone was autistic enough to defend them, and defended them enough to the point where everyone accepted that as part of the board.
Do you honestly want to sacrifice this dynamic in exchange of a boring stale shithole?
All y'alls, Thanks to financial difficulties, I was unable to attend this year. Please tell me amazing stories about Fanime this year so I can pretend I was there.
