>But Code Geass is still one of the most badly written non-pornographic anime ever madeI guess this proves just how few badly written anime you've seen then. Or, failing that, your hypocrisy.
For all of its real or perceived writing flaws, the show did succeed at creating an interesting protagonist and establishing a decent conflict between him and Suzaku, which is more than what can be said about a lot of bad anime.
>Most other shows handle the more serious aspects of it better (politics, mecha battles, crazy scheming),Not true either. The crazy scheming was a constant highlight of the show and not something you see every day. The mecha battles were actually pretty good and the political aspects were interesting during season one.
Claiming that Code Geass "failed" at this or that "most" shows did it better is either blatantly false or, at best, a pointless exaggeration.
