Hey /a/, I want to compare two shows with you. TTGL and MPMM. On first glance, very different. But I think that they are different takes on the same story, as if told once by a boy, and once by a girl. It seems to me that MPMM is the answer from a cynic to TTGL, an antithesis that gains its meaning in relation to the original thesis. (that's not to say it's not a great show on its own, just that this artistic dialogue makes it even more interesting) The protagonists (and the atmosphere) are as different as they could possibly be. Little, easily intimidated girls versus manly men whose mother-tongue is fist. Sure, Kyouko has a rather heavy introduction, just as Simon initially is a scaredy-cat, but both learn their lessons.
On December 21st, 2010, there was a Lunar Eclipse. On this day, Cirno got 43799999 and took over the moon. Today, on 5/5 day, with these five 5s, my pyramid has now pierced Cirno's moon.
Let the deep imagery of this concept sink in for a few seconds.
Oh boy, I sure do love it when people have to explain the joke instead of coming up with a suitable translation on their own!
Are there any competent scanlators out there? I swear, sometimes I can't get through an otherwise great comic because of some faggot's broken English or half-Japanese translations.
