Hey does anyone know what is up with "Highschool Of The Dead" ? manga or anime The second season just never got an offical date and the manga just stoped producing chapters half way through the story and there has been no mention about it. Does anyone know about up coming episodes or chapters?????
From the ED and some interviews we know that >some ED pictures show of the past and future >lovers need not get together again after 12000 years
I think with the dark clothes that Zessica is wearing in the ED, its showing her soon to be change of heart and role in the story. I don't its coincidence that she's after the book where we have Zess - Yunoha - Jin - Kagura, two girl from Vega and two guys from Altair, and Zess' attire in the ED fits to the darker theme of Altair. Everything else from the ED has been pretty fitting too, Jin's gave away his death, Mix and Andy are next to each, Shrade and Cayenne, Amata and Mikono. The second thing from the interview is shooting down Mikono and Kagura ending up together, and Zessica doesn't seem to have any chance with Amata, so I think this is all starting to fit in together.
I think her new dress is a clue too, she's dressing like Mikono because she'll soon take a semi-similar role in the story, and that dress will quickly be changed to something not unlike what she has in the ED. Maybe if she's kidnapped, that would work out well.
The unwarranted hate towards this show is concerning. Let's change that up a bit.
Story: 5/10 Despite there not being any coherent plot to follow, due to it being an introductory episode, the scenes flowed fluidly enough for the characters' interactions to maintain a certain sense cohesion. They pulled off the introductions quite well, even with the sometimes lengthy dialogue.
Characters: 6/10 The MC, Houtarou, while cliched at first glance, has a lot of potential due to Eru's presence. He is bound to change, as indicated by the last scene of the episode. His friend, Satoshi, is quite unusual character as he is smart, perceptive and quite nonchalant; show lots of promise aside from his friend role. Chitanda might seem like a generic KyoAni "moeblob" at first, but her overall attitude is that of being strict and charismatic at the same time. Her motives as to joining the club are unknown, so she holds this aura of mystery that is covered quite well by her genki role.
Music: 8/10 The ambiance and classical set pieces flow really well with the show's atmosphere, art style, and overall theme. When it's needed, you FEEL it, and when it's not, it's very subtle. Overall, it was a very interesting composition that was done quite well.
Animation: 9/10 Animation was superb. The characters moved and acted quite naturally, and gave it a sense of smoothness you don't see very often. They clearly cut costs with CG furniture, but it's pretty unnoticeable throughout most of the time they appear, due to being filtered through various screen tricks. Backgrounds and background characters are quite well done, although you really don't see a lot.
Overall: 7/10 This show has a lot of potential. I really hope the characters are developed to a point where they stand out against every other show they have previously made.
