I'd have put this in one of the other threads on EVOL but they all seem to be about Zessica's dress or Big Bang. Here we go /a/ an attempt at discussion...
I was thinking about what we know is slated to happen within a couple of episodes: >Amata reunites with his mother > episode 19 - First Reunion
Many of us likely expect some combination of: Izumo kidnapping Mikono and/or Zessica and/or Amata, and then Daeva sending out a rescue party. But, that last part doesn't make too much sense in story context if you think on it. Can ND and Fudo even open a portal to Altair? I don't think so because Fudo's never shown any portal controls, and the main body of the portal (that giant ring that Mykage powered with feathers) is solely on Altair's side and they can keep the portal closed indefinitely if they so desire. So the only way for ND to mount a rescue would be to have Mykage or Izumo open the portal for them, which would be dumb.
With the above lack of portal abilities in mind, it would seem to me that no matter what happens next episode, Amata has to be one of (if not the only one) getting kidnapped by Izumo. The fact that Izumo is also desperate for an Igura to save the planet, I'd imagine he'll not leave without at least one of the girls in tow as well.
Now which one? The strongest Igura is certainly Zessica as far as Izumo's data is concerned, but the other spoilers indicate that we are in store for more Kagura vs. Amata action over Mikono, which would be easy to pull off if said three are on Altair. But would Izumo risk taking anything but the strongest? Maybe we'll get an ironic flip from this most recent episode and Amata will save Zessica? Or maybe he'll save Mikono, which I think is far more likely? Or maybe all three will get owned by the kingpin mecha and Izumo?
Dune was overall a really disappointing villain and that keeps it from being my favorite. The journey was fun though and it's like the bright colours and artstyle gave out this weird, happy energy that I liked it.
