In UBW he lost Kotomine, so he didn't have time to play beta stalker to Saber as in Fate.

Lot of people talk bullshit about HF because he's sightlier earlier departure, but it's the route he comes closer to FZ. A dignified king who wants to punish an evil force, also has long chats with Kirei and is capable of engaging in chitchat with Shirou (who was just a random dude for him) without being crass.

I think you've got a narrow definition of a role model. I don't find these two concepts mutually exclusive.
Plenty of kids find their parents and siblings to be role models.

The point I was trying to make was that Sayaka had two different examples of senior magical girls she could learn from. But in the TV series, instead of learning from their mistakes, she just made the same mistakes both of them did.

Kyouko and Mami were both senior magical girls, but then again, so was Homura. Only Mami was in a position to be a role model.

This is best Madoka thread in a while. After rewatching, I feel terrible for everyone, even sadder for Kyouko and Mami. Sayaka has my heart though. Almost shed tears to the scene before her witchification, the final scene with her, and Madoka's wish sequence.

Shame that most thread aren't as good as this one.
