Don't bother with other dialects, unless you really want to. A lot of people from Tokyo/surrounding area look down on those who speak with dialects that are not the standard one.
Even if you plan on going to other areas, you don't necessarily have to learn the dialect, they all speak standard Japanese as well.
It's just not worth the hassle, unless you're well into your studies, to switch up your dialect, it just adds another layer of shit to learn, and you're going to end up using standard Japanese most of the time anyway, unless you're speaking with people from that certain region/want to be funny when talking to normal speaking people.

The composer for Trigun, Hajime no Ippo, Gungrave, etc is very much overlooked. Not going to say he's my favorite artist, but some of his songs are so unique and amazing....

I have to watch the Anime of Hajime no Ippo over reading the manga simply for songs like this....and well, the voices for Takamura, Aoki and Date.

It's exacerbated on a touch pad because multi-touch scrolling would be so much easier than the awkward tap and drag.

It's a little thing, but it'd be a nice feature for something I use so often.
