This is an interesting turn of events.

1. The speed at which threads disappear: This is number 1 reason because every btard is in a race against time. In forums with threads that don't 404, anyone posting has time to think and come up with a coherent reply. Even trolling on such forum is of the highest standard. On /a/ however, people are trying so hard to post fast that their brain isn't given enough time to think and therefore /a/tards slowly lose mental endurance and mental stamina.

2. Instant Gratification: this is related to trolling. Due to the number of /a/tards viewing threads every second, the chances that your post will be seen and replied to are very high. Most /a/tards therefore go for a quick kill. The number of porn threads and memes reflect this. /a/tards have multiple opportunities to fap and laugh which subsequently adds to the negative effects induced by point noted in reason #1

3. Trolls: enough exposure /a/ over time transforms many /a/tards into Pavlov's Dogs. You begin to live on hasty replies and posts that push the threshold of excitement. But sometimes, material on /a/ is either too slow or uninteresting and then the Pavlov's Dogs of /a/ decide to trigger excitement by trolling other /a/tards. This is done in a last ditch attempt to get themselves their daily dose of momentary pleasure -- which often doesn't last long. Dissatisfied by the amount of returns, they try harder and troll harder. Prolonged trolling makes the trolls stupid and also makes their audience lose thinking power.

4. Likeminded people flock together.

Here's an exercise for you /a/, just to help you understand how your mind has faltered. Count the numbers 1-100 while counting them backwards. Example: 1,99; 2,98; 3,97; 4,96....etc and see how far you can go. How quickly do you lose your concentration?
