Your two-hour-long nemesis having evaded you, you stand at the edge of the athletic field for a while, basking in the sunlight's warmth as you make your oath to shield Hisao from all who would steal him away from you.
Unfortunately, in the process of basking and oath-making, you forget to check the time until you hear the first bell ring. Fuck.
Invoking the ancient Japanese ritual of late-class-transit, you jam a piece of toast into your mouth and haul ass across the school grounds.
You arrive without having lost too much time and thankfully your teacher forgives it. Class itself seems to pass in slow motion, concerned as you are over Hisao's brief stint in the infirmiry.
Finally, the lunch bell rings and you exit the classrom to the sound of "Lilly!" and a hanako hugging.
She clings to you for a moment before saying. "Um... L-Lilly? You l-l-look a little pale. Is something the matter?"

[] "A little..." Go to lunch with her and bring her up to speed on recent events.
[] "I'll tell you later." Go find and check up on Hisao.

Honestly I thin that the Office represents, along with a shit ton of other western TV shows, why western TV shows are trash.

They all just keep running until they become so ridiculously stupid and don't even resemble anything they once were.

Look at the Office. If someone had asked you what the office was about (not the events of the show at the moments, but the premise of the show), one might say:

It's about a stereotypical office of a paper distributor with an overly incompetent boss and the struggles of one employee to court the receptionist. In the beginning, the characters were largely normal with the exception of Michael and Dwight.

Now Michael is gone, half of the cast has been given stupid gimmicks (kelly wasn't supposed to be that autistic, pam wasn't supposed to be that annoying, creed wasn't supposed to be so fucking out there and what the fuck did they do to Ryan). Now they're selling printers and the cast isn't about a stereotypical office, but a gimmick based cast of rejects.

A lot of anime/manga keep running until they're shit and cancelled as well, but at least we have a ton of anime and manga that had a fixed script in mind.

Is "no gods" the only rule? If so, the Holy War's power level could easily be much more broken. Summoning, I don't know, christian angels and Sun Wukong.

It's a pleasure to be with you all again this Sunday as always. Contrary to the random rumor last week: no I am not dead. I refuse to fall asleep early tonight, and I shall actually let you know when I'm about to pass out.
