Personally, go for Naruto or Bleach. They seriously suck you in right from the start, Naruto probably moreso, which is why there are so many Narutards. I've read about 15 volumes of One Piece, but didn't enjoy it as much because the I personally don't like the artstyle. Before you piss shit, I don't care if it's detailed and unique and etc. I dislike the character designs, the uneven body proportions, and it just bothers me. If you're okay with it, chances are you'll enjoy it since apparently it gets amazing.
Bleach probably has the best characters, it has so many you'll love the shit out of atleast one of them. The main character isn't the classic hyper-active idiot, he's a full blown tsundere. If you watch/read it, I reccomend you skip most of the Hueco Mundo arc, simply because it was dragged out fucking long and really boring. Also has the best/most realistic art, but a huge lack of backgrounds in Hueco Mundo arc. It can be deep, there are poems at the beginning of every volume pertaining to certain characters.
Naruto is addictive in the beginning, you kind of feel bad for him and you go fuck yeah when he starts getting stronger and recognition from people. The Zabuza arc was amazing, and it does have moments that pull on your heartstrings. Then, everything goes to shit, everyone loves Naruto, he gets every single power ever, goes homo for Sasuke ect. So if you watch/read this go in knowing you'll end up dissapointed.
One piece like I said I haven't read all off. It starts off a typical adventure manga, sailing around to places and metting people to join the crew. Again, I don't like the art, but if I did I would probably love the shit out of it. I say if you really like the art, watch One Piece, then the first episode of Bleach and Naruto and pick between them.
