The studio did nothing. The studio didn't have to do anything. Like how Murata should have just done nothing.
The studio didn't start an adaptation, and then suddenly go back a whole year's worth of episodes to recreate them from scratch just so it doesn't catch up with the manga.
This isn't a re-airing of older chapters, Murata is full-on redrawing them.
No adaptation but the OPM manga does this. It's not even the first time the OPM manga has done this. It has been doing this ever since the MA Arc, and all of these moments are chapters that are heavily focused on manga-original content.
It is obvious what is causing the redraws.

The Game of Thrones TV series should have ended the moment it ran out of books to adapt.
For the manga, it would have been much, much better off done after it finished the Saitama vs Garou fight.
